Artist Bio
A recent graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, Sarah German creates functional, porcelain vessels with funky, surface decoration that she screen-prints onto her pots. The combination of printed textures, forms and colors used gives her work a decidedly "hip" and playful feel. AND, all of German's work is food-safe, microwavable and dishwasher safe!
German is currently the assistant director at the Ankeny Art Center where she also teaches ceramics. She participates in festivals throughout the region, and is achieving her goal to become a full-time working artist in VERY short order after completing her BFA.
