Fiber artist, Sarah Shoot freely combines found papers, objects, text, and textiles in her compositions. Inspired by the patterns and colors in nature, the artist's collages incorporate delicate hues and textures. Playful inclusions of tacks, wires, and bits of found metal punctuate her work in intriguing rhythms yielding a visually rich body of work .
Sarah graduated From Southern Illinois University in 2000. She lives and works in Makanda, Illinois. In addition to a busy schedule of workshops that she conducts in her community, Sarah shows her work in art festivals and galleries throughout the region.
