Potters Vince and Carolyn Tolpo create functional stoneware in their home/studio at an elevation of 8,300 feet, surrounded by Pike National Park. Frequently their Rocky Mountain environment inspires the glaze decoration of their vessels with a unique combination of blues, rich reds and browns. Both artists have worked in their field for over thirty years each, and pursue additional studio interests in a variety of media. Vince received his degree in painting and drawing from Arizona State University, Tempe, and Carolyn graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
